If you've ever struggled with harsh smoke, you know that heat management is everything in shisha. For decades, the standard was foil and a poker. But the invention of the Heat Management Device (HMD) has revolutionized the experience, making perfect sessions easier and more consistent than ever.

What is an HMD?

An HMD is a metal device that sits on top of your hookah bowl, replacing the need for foil. You place your lit charcoals inside the HMD. It works by creating a convection oven effect, heating the tobacco evenly without direct contact from the coals. The most famous example is the Kaloud Lotus.

How to Use an HMD

Place 2-3 fully lit coals inside the HMD, put the lid on with the vents open, and let it heat up for about 7-10 minutes. Once you see smoke coming from the vents, you're ready to start.
